“Redskins” Deemed Derogatory By Trademark Office, Team Mark in Trouble?

Could the Washington Redskins be in for a problem with the registration of their trademark? This week the United States Patent and Trademark office refused to register a trademark because it contained the word “redskins” which the Trademark Office deemed as derogatory.
